'Lake' is part of the Haze flat weave rug collection by Begum Cana Ozgur. Haze rugs are handwoven in Turkey, by master Anatolian weavers.
The subtle change in the corduroy texture dissolves the graphic lines and blends the colours, creating a quiet expression of translucency and an illusion of depth on the woven surface. The texture and colour form an inseparable alliance through out the design.
While the simple graphic creates a modest background in the space, and the colour palette brings a unique yet earthy feeling to the interior.

Namesake brand Begum Cana Ozgur is a textile design studio based in Istanbul and New York. Motivated by the rich culture of Istanbul, Begum developed an interest in ancient craft practices and established her studio in 2014, which introduced a contemporary design approach to the traditional culture of weaving in Anatolia.
