“My name is Jeannie, and I was born in the bush near the Mimili community. I grew up in a little tin house with my sister Judy and my two brothers. I’ve worked at the Indulkana store and at the art centre for a long time. I like to paint the country with punu (trees,) and tjukula (rockholes) our country is beautiful.”

Iwantja Arts is an artist studio located within the remote Indigenous community of Indulkana, on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. Iwantja Arts is an Aboriginal corporation owned and governed by a self elected board of directors. The art centre aims to encourage and support artistic excellence and cultural development within the community.
Iwantja Arts provides opportunities, career development, and financial independence for practicing Artists.
