Jilungin Bush Tea is a Nyul Nyul bush tea traditionally used in the evening for relaxation and healing. Traditional Owner Bruno Dann would drink this tea just before bed for 'long peaceful dreams'. As Bruno himself says, “It’s what us Nyul Nyul have been taking all our lives. The old people used to give it to us young people and little ones.”
The leaves, stem and olive green oil under the bark brew into a silky golden all over tonic that has an alkaline effect on the body.
Jiliungin trees are very significant to Nyul Nyul people and the sap is a well prized lolly eaten raw or cooked in ashes.
Jilungin Bush Tea is wild harvested on the Dampier Peninsula, Western Australia.
